Book 2 · 2241 — the door that holds a regionFour reconstructed Anchorage patchwork hulls set side by side to prove the obvious: there is no Anchorage class. No registry, no shared plan, no two alike — a fleet cut from other people's ships, that reads as a fleet only because someone chose to fly them together. One of them is blamed for the station sabotage.

Book 1 · 2240 — the maiden voyageThe three craft an explorer reaches a surface by, drawn to one scale: the DS-7C dropship (the work truck), the LN-5B lander (science, and the finite surface fleet), and the YT-4A yard-tender (salvage and tow). A Meridian never lands herself — these do.

Deck by deckA forty-one-year-old hauler that went out with ten and came back with fourteen. Her hand log says three hundred and thirty-one days on passage. Her master clock says two hundred and forty-one. Her second engineer's says two hundred and sixty. Nobody has ever reconciled them, and the ship is the argument.

Deck by deckA commercial cargo hull that stopped being a ship without ever ceasing to be one. An auxiliary-stack failure on 28 April put her cabin power onto emergency inside six hours; her crew assessed the situation and decided to stay aboard, and were still there six weeks later with the galley panel up and the lead engineer's gloves clean enough to clip back on. She is drawn here as the sister hull she is.

Canon Note
Schematics are general arrangements: they show major structure, deck allocation and systems layout, not every frame and run. Where a drawing and a book disagree, the book is right — these sheets are compiled from it. Named ships also carry a service record in the vessel registry.
