Crewed the port close-defence mounts. Killed when an Orun pressure-blow cracked the Endurance's port flank through the old midships-shear patches (frames 40–46), opening the port battery spaces to vacuum. Pell and the loader Yarrow were on the wrong side of the emergency bulkhead when Ferris dropped it; Sloane ordered it sealed (no one crosses a breached bulkhead into vacuum). Two of the names welded into the Endurance's hull-memorial wall.
